Wayne Brown is a highly credentialed mental health professional with an established psychotherapy and consulting practice serving clients in Fort Lauderdale and via telehealth. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Addiction Professional, and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, he brings a comprehensive skill set to one focused mission: supporting your mental health and well-being.

Wayne holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Toronto and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Florida International University. He has provided clinical services and taught psychology courses in the Metropolitan Toronto area and at the Fort Lauderdale campus of Everest University. Wayne also completed intensive training in Clinical Hypnotherapy with Rapid Trauma Resolution through the Institute for Survivors of Sexual Violence, Inc. His professional background spans program administration, community mental health, addiction services, and trauma resolution counseling.

In his private practice, Wayne helps clients navigate depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and sexual trauma. He draws on a blend of cognitive behavioral and client-centered therapy, incorporating Rapid Resolution Therapy® (RRT) and multi-level communication - advanced methods that promote healing and lasting change in a gentle, respectful, and effective way.

Wayne is an Internationally Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) and is qualified to serve as a licensure supervisor for Registered Clinical Social Work interns in Florida. He is also a Registered Clinical Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with the provincial governing bodies of British Columbia and Ontario, Canada, and has been licensed in the state of New York since 2014.

A sought-after workshop leader and speaker, Wayne combines rigorous research and real-world experience with an engaging, approachable style. He regularly presents in both Canada and the United States on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an empirically supported approach that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies to increase psychological flexibility - often described as part of the "third wave" of behavioral and cognitive therapies.
