“The trouble is all in the knob at the top of our bodies. I’m not against the body or the head either - only the neck, which creates an illusion that they are separate.”

One of the most challenging is the client who cannot listen. The client is so talkative that you cannot get a chance to share any positive solutions. Any attempts to offer a thought, the client will talk right over you! Wayne reviews how Jon handles a super verbal individual and wrestles back control of the meeting.

Andre - Pedophilia
March 16, 2022 - 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
According to the New York Times, there is a global epidemic of child sexual images being trafficked on the internet, and it is made worse because of the COVID pandemic lockdowns. Reports of an alarming uptake of online interest in these pernicious images primarily found on what is commonly referred to as the “dark web”. Increasingly in the culture, there is a group of people who, when going through puberty, begin to realize, rather unhappily, that they remain attracted to children of a certain age. Andre (not his real name) struggles as his distress becomes all-consuming. Jon’s handling of Andre’s fears and his attempts to come to terms with “these frightening thoughts” provide a refreshing perspective. Wayne believes Jon’s efforts constitute a real contribution to a difficult clinical subject. In this interactive workshop, the participants witnessed how Jon, in a casual conversation with Andre, is direct, intelligent, honest, and brave. Jon is the most intellectually courageous man he knows, who is unafraid to speak truths out in the open, where most others in the profession would recoil from.
